BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLAN

At Fortune, smooth functioning of operations is ensured even in event of any calamities, contingencies or outages. We have implemented robust business continuity and disaster recovery plans as well as built-in redundancies into each stage of the workflow.

We have Risk Management policies in place to ensure reliability and delivery within predictable timeframes:

Process Migration

This comprises of a Restoration Team which is equipped to meet any emergency, and restore normal production level in double quick time.

Disaster Recovery

Enabled by documented and tested recovery plans, adequate power backups, multiple sources of Internet and a comprehensive backup system.

  • Multiple backups

  • Redundant network links and hardware

  • Uninterrupted power supply to all servers and workstations

  • Alternate power supply from DG set

  • Preventive and predictive maintenance schedules

  • Spare/Standby servers and workstations

  • Fire detection systems and regular evacuation drills

Case Study

During the 2003 Algerian earthquake, Fortune’s 2 Mbps leased circuit between the US and Baroda Processing Center was severely damaged and it took over five days to restore it.

However, the processing at Baroda was not affected by this outage, as a redundant link to US was in place. Thus, all data was routed via the alternate link from US to Baroda.
