Case
Study
During
the 2003
Algerian
earthquake,
Fortune’s
2 Mbps
leased
circuit
between
the US
and
Baroda
Processing
Center
was
severely
damaged
and it
took
over
five
days to
restore
it.
However,
the
processing
at
Baroda
was not
affected
by this
outage,
as a
redundant
link to
US was
in place.
Thus,
all data
was
routed
via the alternate link from US
to
Baroda. |
